Sometimes I can't hear other voices on recordings - U.S. Galaxy S7 (Android 7.0)

I've used ACR for about 2 years, and I've always had intermittent issues with my phone recording only my voice.

For example, over the past month, ACR recorded 98 calls, and 12 of them only recorded my voice...not the other person's voice. There was no apparent pattern to this. (Sometimes associated with incoming calls, sometimes with outgoing calls, etc.)

I don't have any other call recording apps on my phone, and I don't shut down apps to save battery life or clear apps from memory. Android version is 7.0.

I'm wondering if it would be a good idea for me to uninstall and reinstall ACR? I have about 1,500 recordings from dozens of these wouldn't be affected, would they? (I wouldn't want to try this approach unless there was a good chance it would help.)

Case #1839 suggests configuring incoming recording delay to 0 seconds...but my phone is already configured that way. The outgoing delay is configured to 2 seconds...should I change this setting?)

Here are the details of my phone settings: Audio Source - Auto Recording Format - M4A Outgoing recording delay (2) Incoming recording delay (0) Verizon Galaxy S7 (Model # SM-G930V) Android version - 7.0

Also, I'm wondering if it's a good idea for me to look for the blinking ACR icon when I'm making a call? (That way if I don't see it, there might be a way for me to manually record the call instead?)

    (I forgot to mention that all my phone calls are made with Apple EarPods 3.5 mm Headphone Plug...I don't use the speakerphone.)

    There could be no way to fix call recorded like that. Using headphones or Bluetooth headset is always problematic.

    Most phones don;t support call recording on them. You should always try having them connected before the call. This way there is a chance that call would be recorded properly
