ACR works fine on almost all Android phones. You can download ACR from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr

Use search for your phone model and/or Android version on this site to find possible solutions if you have issues with your phone.

CM never supported call recording. I believe you meant to say that you have installed CM and lost call recording functionality. You have to use original Samsung Rom

  2. copluk reporter

On LG phone, please remove any other call recording app, go to phone settings and  disable "Voice Enhancement"  and reboot.

Also set recording format to MP4 and recording delay to 5 seconds

If on Kikkat, set recording folder to internal storage

Hi Copluk.. Recently switched to Huawei (Ascend) P6. Seen that it is supported by you!! On 4.2.2 now. But i can't make the recording work with bluetooth. A little help is much appreciated.

  4. Tom Tipps

I have a new Galaxy S5, 4 days old. Only get a buzz on playback. Purchased the license a while back as I had ACR for my S4 and it worked perfectly with the default values. I have tried every recording adjustment with and without Bluetooth to no avail. Any advice? If nothing can be done I am returning this S5 and keeping the S4--that's how important ACR is for me. Thank you, tom

    1. Please tell me if the recordings are stored to the internal or external memory by default? or would i be given a choice for the desired location? my phone is Samsung Note 2 (GT-N7100) with Jellybean 4.1.2 powering it.
    2. What is the recommended storage format that one should choose?
  6. manunair

I have no intentions to upgrade to kitkat. so with jelly bean, can i set the recording folder to external storage? and What is the recommended storage format that one should choose?

Hey I've go Samsung GT-I8260. Sometimes ACR records only few seconds of conversation (I change time of screen lock, maybe it'll help it) and few timies I've got destroy file (too fast, gurgle). Help!

  8. copluk reporter

Not all phones support call recording. Remove any other call recording apps, disable noise cancellation features of your phone, reboot your phone and re-install ACR, set recording delay to 5 seconds and try again. Also please try all recording formats. Also make sure no task killer or memory/battery saver apps installed

If nothing works, set Audio Source to MIC in ACR settings and use call recording with speaker

does this app works on Nexus 5 upgraded to 5.0.1 version? if yes then what settings needs to be done, also suggest if i can have the pro version as well for making it work smoothly on Nexus-5

  10. copluk reporter

None of the Nexus devices support call recording. With Lollipop Android actively use voice cancellation to prevent audio from speaker going in to MIC. ACR warns you that your phone doesn't support call recording. You need to enable loud speaker

  11. copluk reporter

Moto G has stopped 2 way call recording support with Android KitKat. This is not our fault. Try any other call recording app you'll see that none works.

Your only option is to set audio source to MIC and set loudspeaker on.

This will be same with Lollipop too

  12. A Google User .

    Hi mate :)

You really need to adds a message at the top of the page! People have no idea that new operating systems (like Mac and Windows) are just as problematic for support, as developers do not have time, resources or even ANY information about new restrictions and changes!!! Be smart, don't be stupid! DO NOT UPGRADE TO LOLLIPOP!

Write this at the very top of the page:

    * * DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR DEVICE TO LOLLIPOP v5 OS * *

Also, over time, you should include the OS next to the Devices above, so people know to stay on 2.3.6 or 4.3.x and NOT upgrade, otherwise will lose functionality!!

    THANK YOU

  13. copluk reporter

Motorola has stopped 2 way call recording support with Android 5. This is not our fault. Try any other call recording app you'll see that none works.

Your only option is to set audio source to MIC and set loudspeaker on.

I hope you understand and increase your star rating

  14. Gideon Nwaogu

Please I have a lenovo A606 could you please help make it compatible cos I really love the app. It was working fantastically when I was using a Sony Xperia V. Thanks.

  15. copluk reporter

Some phones doesn't support call recording. Remove other call recording apps, disable noise cancellation features of your phone, reboot your phone and re-install ACR, set recording delay to 5 seconds and try again. Also please try all recording formats.

If nothing works, set Audio Source to MIC in ACR settings and use call recording with speaker

  16. copluk reporter

Not all phones support call recording. Please remove any other call recording apps and reboot your phone and re-install ACR. Try setting recording delay to 5 seconds. İf it still fails it might mean that your phone doesn't support call recording and you need to use MIC audio source with loud speaker turned on.

I have a Samsung S5 this you app used to work great before the Samsung update but now does not work it keeps saying failed to record I don't have any other recording app on my phone and I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times now I also have the pro version please help

  18. copluk reporter

ACR works perfectly on your phone. Please remove any other call recording apps, re install ACR and reboot your phone.

Do not change any settings of ACR what so ever ant test to see if the issue gone away

  19. Jonathan Bryan

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled acr again as you said, including the pro license that I have for it, it then worked for one day and then went back to acr was unable to record this call the only recoding app on my phone is acr and a screen recorder which I have always had and they always used to work together before what else can be causing this problem remember I have a Samsung S5 thank you

  20. Andy Reti

Installed ACR on my Samsung SCH1545 S4 Android cell phone. The cell phone is Bluetooth linked to a set of 6 Panasonic KX-TG7875 cordless phones. Calls come in and go out throgh the cell phone. Outgoing calls can be dialed from and go out through the cordless phone and are transmitted through Bluetooth to the cell phone. Incoming calls through the cell phone are routed to all cordless phone extensions.

After ACR was install incoming and outgoing calls were recorded fine on the cell phone. After a few days voice was no longer transmiited to the cordless phones. All incoming and outgoing voice was heard only on the cell phone. After fiddling with the settings for a few days, I could not fix the problem. After uninstalling ACR app from cell phone everything went back to normal and voice was heard at cell phone and at all cordless extensions.

Is there a setting in ACR that would solve this problem? I am not smart enough to root the cell phone

Thanks for any help. Reagrds, Andy Reti andyr1385@gmail.com

"The cell phone is Bluetooth linked to a set of 6 Panasonic KX-TG7875 cordless phones." I have no idea how this setup wpuld work, never connected this way. Do these phones essentially become Bluetooth headsets for the s4?

Never the less I'm afraid American version S4 doesn't support 2 way call recording and Recording over Bluetooth depends in the phone and firmware as well as Bluetooth headset. All other call recording apps will be same too.

There is nothing can be done if phone doesn't support call recording over Bluetooth.

  22. Blue123

Is this list up to date? If a phone does not appear here it means it won't work? I really want to know if the app would work on One Plus 2 with the stock OxygenOS. Thank!

  23. copluk reporter

This list updated continuously. It does not definitive list. There could be phones out there that support call recording but we are not aware of

  24. Martin

Can you please create this list automatically from an application. E.g. people who use application longer than 30 days and has more than 30 recordings, it is probably working for them so automatically report phone type to server and create full list of supported phones not only based on user feedback (because majority of users will not report anything)...

    BTW Zopo ZP951 works flawlessly.

  25. Martin

    ZP951 works with VOICE_CALL.

About service, actually I work as IT Linux admin and maybe it is just professional perspective, but for me simple REST service in PHP with MySQL DB is question of few hours to implement. If you want to help with server part you can contact. Now I have some free time.

  26. copluk reporter

When you said any call recording app working, I assumed you have tried few. If other works ACR should work too. Please remove any other call recording apps, re install ACR and reboot your phone.

Do not change any settings of ACR what so ever ant test to see if the issue gone away

  27. copluk reporter

You can enable recording over Bluetooth under ACR recording settings but, recording over Bluetooth depends in the phone and firmware as well as Bluetooth headset. All other call recording apps will be same too.

There is nothing can be done if the phone doesn't support call recording over Bluetooth.

  28. Tim Griffin

I have a Droid Maxx with 4.4.4 (three fours) not the 4.4 in your list. I can get it to work (with static) in the suggestion you use for Operating SSystem 5.

Is there something I am missing in getting it to work with what I have? I am involved in Ancestry.com and want to record interviews with my relatives and am having a heck of a time.

  29. copluk reporter

Motorola phones might not support call recording but, there is a workaround that helps a lot on some models. Please set Audio source to MIC, Recording format to WAV or OGG and Audio Gain to 20dB under ACR Recording settings

  30. Matthew Fagan

using a galaxy s5 but it will not record when using a bluetooth headset...I have record on bluetooth switched on....and bluetooth is connected when calling....records but no sound....works find on phone only and speaker phone just not bluetooth..any ideas?

  32. Greg Wolff

I have a few questions about your list and the updates. 1. Are any of these working fine with WIRED headsets? (I don't use bluetooth) 2. Am I correct that Kitkat OS doesnt allow ANY of these phones to record directly to ext flash? 3. Is that list in order of release date/OS version? If not, can you recommend a few of the most up-to-date one(s) that allow the 2 features listed above?

  33. copluk reporter

This list compiled by user feedback. We don;t have nay solid information about headset or Bluetooth but I have s6/7 test phones (International versions) and they have no issues

  34. Greg Wolff

One more question about your list: it says "HTC One (M8,9 and others with android 5 or above)", but when I check online the M8 only comes in 4.4.2 (kitkat). Did you mean to say that any One series EXCEPT FOR M8/M9 series would have to be android 5 or higher? And does this count for ones like M8x and others in the One series like that?

  35. copluk reporter

My should come with Android 5 or Android 4 . You can install Android 5 update If came with 4.

This list has not being updated for a long time.

  36. rotation

Honestly, I am looking for a used phone, if I find one that suits me CustomRom/price, then I look at the list, if its not there, its a nogo.

I just found a Moto G Dual SIM 2. generation. I read in the comments its not working, so its a nobuyer. Huawei is not supporting it too, so its a nobuyer....

  37. Sajai

I am your premier user. I found my galaxy s5 restarting everyone. But didn't recognise why it is so. Last day I flashed my phone and everything came back to normal. Yesterday again I installed your app and restarting happened again. I am removing your app. Please find a resolution and let me know so that I can install it again

  38. ggfb20

Any support for the Galaxy S8 yet? I can test done betas if you don't have the device. I'm willing to work with you to get this working if you want.

  39. ggfb20

I tried on my T-mobile usa galaxy s8 and it did not work with the default settings. I also tried playing around with different setting and that did not work either. Are you using specific settings? I can try different settings, just need to know which ones...

  40. ggfb20

I can confirm that it does work with my T-mobile USA Galaxy S8. I tried with bluetooth on and also via speaker and also via regular (phone to ear). All three worked. I believe my initial issues were because I changed the file format from MP4 to MP3 or something of that nature. So I uninstalled and then re-installed as you suggested and all works well. I must add that this is the beta version as I, a beta tester on the play sotre for your app.
