Should we add a custom login page?
A nice feature in other themes is a custom login page. Should we add one?

A common request is to add some content in the login page. Something similar to the login page when self-registration is enabled.
This project (commercial) creates a custom login page: http://urban-login.com/documentation/
Most of the settings are already included in Adaptable but some other could be interesting like the custom footer.

If we add control to what content and layout we have on our front page before and after logging it'd be the same as having a custom login page. Users would simply check if a marketing block or any other element they place on the front page should be visible before or after logging.

Hi Jeremy. I'd support your idea for custom login page + settings. I've actually spent a bit of time creating my own custom login page with new custom settings page, but I'm sure yours would be much better. Happy to share or help.

reporter Hi Tristan,
Could you let us have your code (link to GIT repo if you are using one) for your custom login page? That would probably give us decent start head start rather than starting from scratch.
Thanks, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy
Have you had a chance to try out the code I sent? Is it of any use?

reporter Hi Tristan,
No I havent, but I will. I am afraid I have lost your link, could you re-paste the link to your code here in this issue tracker please?
Thanks, :-)

reporter Thanks Tristan,
Could you re-sync your repo with our master to pull in all our latest changes and then submit a pull request to the branch I just created "alternate-login-page", you would need to choose that instead of "master" when submitting your pull request.
The branch is here:
https://bitbucket.org/covuni/moodle-theme_adaptable/branch/alternate-login-page
If you are able to do that I will take a look at bringing it in this week.

I've sent pull request to new branch. Sorry if the commits look a bit messy. Think I screwed up the merge a bit. Sorry, GIT newbie.

I am also interested in customizing the login/index.php. At the moment if I change the language string "Log in," the change is repeated in the button as well. Using two different language strings would already help to have a simple customization.

Is this feature already working? Should we download and install these files? Thank you!

Is it really required for there is option of login inputs on header, may be 50% will make use of it. if you intend to add one, the older version of Elegance looked cool, Bas replaced it with simpler one in newer build.
