Announcement Ticker Undefined

Upgraded from 1.1 to 1.1.3 and Announcement ticker is failing.

1 Item assigned with no text, "No news to display" 1 item assigned with text, "undefined" 2 items assigned with text, "undefined"

Before upgrade, this was working correctly.

Can you post a screen shot of the messages you have put in the admin settings for this. You need to do this from HTML view so I can see the actual HTML code.

a full screen shot of the admin settings for the news ticker would help too. I just tested this and my copy seemed to work ok.

The tags are wrong, you need to remove the 'p' tags and replace with 'li' like:

<li>Welcome to the new....</li>

Make sure you check that in HTML view. I will see if I can improve this so that it cleans things like this up automatically in future.

Well that certainly fixed it (and now I feel like a bit of a noob for not paying more attention to the help at the top), but I'm curious why it was working when I set it up the first time, but was changed later.

Moodles text editor has a nasty habbit of adding tags like this when you go back and save a page, even if you dont edit that specific field and am guessing that is what happened here.
