Adding a logo

Hello,

I would like to add a logo to the top-left area of the home page of our site. For example, use it to replace the 'Adaptable' text area on the left of the demo site.

I have been making effort to achieve this for a while now and it has not been possible. Could someone advise me on how to do this, please?
