Messages bubble number not reset after view messages page

Messages displayed in the menu bubble in the top header is not reset after view the messages.

Review the query to verify the counter reset to zero.

Having just tested this I dont see the messages bubble at all with the new message / notifications feature. If I post new messages no bubble ever appears.
