Show files in archives
Issue #75
new
The multiple upload and live viewing of source code are super helpful because it means we can avoid downloading and viewing code manually. Unfortunately when students upload zip/tgz archives this completely destroys my workflow. I think they should be prevented from uploading archives. Perhaps this can be a per-lab option.
Another solution would be for the file server to automatically extract archives when they are uploaded.

Yes, the previous version of fire allowed you to explore tar-balls (and perhaps other archived formats). This would be a nice feature to have. (And perhaps more elegantly solve John's problem)

- changed title to Show files in archives
It is now possible to limit the file extensions that can be uploaded (40a555a).

Agree. I hate it when they submit archives.
The first solution might be a special case of
#62. I like the solution option more, this is what the first Fire did. Moreover, there are courses where students are expected to submit parts of assignment in separate directories. The file viewer should be enhanced to support directories for that.
