mod.addRecipe doesn't work with NEI present

In 1.5.2, when NEI is installed/present, shaped recipes (have not tested shapeless recipes) added in the mod.js do not work at all.

When NEI is removed, the custom shaped recipes work.

Using:

The recipes aren't shown, but they do work/are craftable.
