Block Textures

I feel like all block types should use the same texture format; I am partial to the one used by normal blocks, as it allows a different texture to be loaded for each side. My posts would look a lot better with a different texture for the top and bottom than the other sides; same with the furnaces.

I don't know about fences, but it is already possible to use the directional textureFile attributes on furnaces.
