This repository fork of the Boa sourceforge code seems to be the only maintained code in the last few years. An update in the release, readme and changelog would be nice. As some interested parties, also active on sourceforge, are already following this i propose cwt continues the maintenance. If no major changes are planned you can continue versioning like so: 0.6.1-cwt1
With the broken debugger few will use the old version. But the GUI Builder still is way above the python competition, so users might want to combine Boa Constructor with LiClipse IDE for the best of two worlds.
Some users will experience color scheme problems (grey text on grey background): The tooltips in 0.7.1 show only when Boa is run as root. You ought to change color-scheme and overall theming in that case.
This wiki uses the Creole syntax, and is fully compatible with the 1.0 specification.
The wiki itself is actually a mercurial repository, which means you can clone it, edit it locally/offline, add images or any other file type, and push it back to us. It will be live immediately.
Go ahead and try:
$ hg clone https://bitbucket.org/cwt/boa-constructor/wiki
Wiki pages are normal files, with the .wiki extension. You can edit them locally, as well as creating new ones.
You can also highlight snippets of text, we use the excellent Pygments library.
Here's an example of some Python code:
def wiki_rocks(text): formatter = lambda t: "funky"+t return formatter(text)
You can check out the source of this page to see how that's done, and make sure to bookmark the vast library of Pygment lexers, we accept the 'short name' or the 'mimetype' of anything in there.
