App continues downloading even after pausing

Hi. The latest update clauses the app to restart episodes that were red due to no internet connection.

Today I lost more than £20 on data used while downloading episodes. I put the app on pause before I left the house. I turned data on and noticed that my internet's stopped working. After getting back I checked using wifi and it used up all the credit I had was all used up. I couldn't figure it out but I topped up and when I went out again more of my credit was gone.

I now realise when I open the app again it starts downloading even though it was paused. Not sure if this makes sense.
