For a few versions, whenever scrolling using a dpad quickly, the highlight disappears but it keeps scrolling with nothing highlighted and if you push select while in this state, it asks to remove the bookmark. The only way to get the highlighting back is to push left or right on the dpad until the hightling comes back above the list of bookmarks. Then you can properly scroll down slowly and select a bookmark.
