The API should be fixed AFTER their website is fully up and it's not the case.

I'm also having the same issue not being able to login with myanimelist account. Is there anything else I'm supposed to do in order for it to work?

Their API have been disabled since the end of May. They said they are working on it (https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1740204) but we don't know when it will be available.
