The problem does not occurr if the application is configured to run in compatibility mode with Windows 7.
Tested in Windows 8.
-
reporter I will investigate though if it is possible to make the application be installed in a way that it is marked as compatibility mode without the need of user interaction.
-
reporter The definitive fix goes through adding a manifest file with a compatibility section (could be compiled with the application, but it is probably not worth the effort...). Planned for next maintenance release.

reporter Solved in the development branch.

The same problem does not occur in Windows XP. I will have to verify in Windows 7. I believe the problem has something to do with the way Ole Drag And Drop is treated in Windows 8 and higher and user-rights.
