I install all and can get to the point of starting the Marsh map. Then the screen goes to the ~screen console and the map never loads and runs. It says my server timed out.

Try setting timeout_connect to 1000 in the console. I need to workaround the timeout_connect to not include Single Player/Localhosted games. You may have a slow computer/video card/harddrive combination that is making it take longer than 10 seconds to start loading a map.

I just uploaded a new build of Daikatana that will skip timeout checks for single player games. Test this and report back if it fixes your problem. If not, give me the exact error message from the console (client or server timed out as theres more than one error message).
