cant get gun to be visible

ive uninstalled and re-installed the game but i cant do anything to get the guns to become visible basically making the game unplayable

Is cl_gun set to 0 in console?

i got it figured out it was a problem with the gun field of view dont know why that wasnt the first thing i messed with. The problem was i set it to max which is 180 but for some reason the game kept automatically setting it to 179 which would cause the gun to disappear. If i set the bar to zero it works perfect, if i set it somewhere in the middle the gun would look like its levitating off of my body and if i set it to max it would look the same as setting it to zero. But for some reason it doesnt stay at max the game would reset it to 179 making the gun disappear. Now it works fine though
