cfg always overwritten

Config file is always wiped upon save or next launch.
I can only get 1.3 not to touch my config in the meantime by setting the file to read-only.

I've had this problem personally a few times where it would completely overwrite with a new default config. Only from a fresh compile and it's extremely rare. Has maybe happened two or three times. Unsure what causes it.

I ran into a way to reproduce this. I can't remember if it's daikatana.cfg or default.cfg. If one of those was missing it would overwrite all cfg files in the data dir with nothing in them.
Will try and peek more into that.

I think we fixed this a while ago when I was switching to daikatana13.cfg.

Do you mean that it's overwritten or its contents are actually erased? Q2 engine games ALWAYS overwrite the .cfg file every time they exit. Settings you don't want overwritten should go in an autoexec.cfg file.
