Stable Savegames

It would be nice if savegames could still be used after recompiling the source.
It would be even cooler if they were platform-independent, but that's not as important IMHO

If I didn't miss something, the savegame code seemed to be better than expected, I did only small changes and I think they're stable now (apart from known bugs like the wyndrax thing)

I believe the save games are related to memory locations in the DLL/SO files themselves. But, if someone wanted to get crazy and rewrite the saves I'd be down. Shawn Green said the way the save system work was his biggest regret with Daikatana as they added it on in the final phase of coding. They made the whole game and then realized they didn't even have saving working!
