When I have scanned out a chain and click on a J code the system I am in becomes the top of the chain. Is this a bug or a 'feature'? Is there a way to turn this off? It is very annoying and at times confusing when scanning or navigating a chain.

This is intentional if you don’t have a tab open, the tab is implicitly based on your current system. Make a tab if you want a chain from a fixed base.
