Client wont stay logged in

Issue #75 resolved
Yorganda created an issue

I have a corp member who can't stay logged into tripwire. But kinda can. Confusing but I'll explain.

He can log in and see everyone moving around adding wormholes etc etc. His characters do not show up as being in the wormhole chain. If he refreshes the page his accounts appear as being in the wormhole for about 5-10 seconds before disappearing.

We think we narrowed it down to the fact that he can't save the corp mask to be his active one. He chooses the default corp mask then saves it. If he then goes back to his settings they are all greyed out again.

Update. He thought he was saving it but he clicks the save button then it greys out. So he assumed it was saving. Then he would click close assuming it had saved. He tried waiting for the window to auto close after clicking save but he waited for 5 minutes and the window didn't auto close.

Does he have like 20 chain map tabs? I am thinking the settings are failing to store in the cookie fine because there are too many chain map tabs or favorite systems or both. If that is true he should be able to clear cache and cookies to fix it or use the reset settings button (be sure to save after).

Brand new account. Never used Tripwire before. He can see the 1 corp chain and appears in our home hole for about 10 seconds then disappears.

If someone changes WH's he can't see them move either.

Getting him to clear cache and cookies now.

Strange - sounds like some settings got corrupted and causing javascript errors.

Initially I just put it down to him being really bad. Which was nothing unusual. But the fact he couldn't save his settings made me wonder. So I made the post here.

    Thanks once again.

No problem. I will keep this issue in mind as I work on code - hopefully make things more stable.
