Can't build

I had been using Debug to add money and after doing it once more, it didn't add any money and then stopped me from building anything. Each time i clicked on a build menu, it wouldn't open the options to build anything. Also the zoom and drag camera with the mouse stopped working. Not sure what was the exact cause but I am fairly deep into #3 Capua.

Sorry, to clarify, I can still build anything that doesn't need a menu (house, road and use of the shovel to delete). Engineering, Commerce, Entertainment, etc. doesn't work. Also no longer displays money, population or date.

what happens if you close the game and load the autosaved game?

if the issue still exist then could you upload the save-file?

I tried loading the saved state and restarting the game, neither worked. Once I restarted my computer, did it allow me to continue building.
