repo owner try increase game speed (+/- buttons on numpad), how much fps you see?
-
10-13 fps. Speed Overclocking useless
-
No issues here on Mint 17 and on Xubuntu 14.04, tested in both Steam version and native linux64
-

Still a buggs, software is probalbly problem :(

Perhaps video driver issue? I'm running on lubuntu 12.04, also old laptop core2duo 2 ghz, ati x1600, 2 Gb RAM, with no issues, at least on initial tutorials.
EDIT: From time to time it seems to drop to 20-15 fps. But usually runs stable at 30fps. No issue with sound whatsoever (except for being alittle random?)
-
repo owner it may decrease when loading music from hdd, or save game, that operations some hard in time
-
100% binary nvidia driver problem, X.org works but unstable :(
-
thanks for the info, we can close this issue
-
repo owner - changed status to wontfix

You closed this issue, but there's one point i'd like to make. Zooming out on the map decreases the fps's a lot. Like i previously said i usually have steady 30 fps, but if i zoom out a lot, it drops to 10.
I know more sprites = more graphical load, but it's a game i used to run on a k6-2 at 433Mhz withou dedicated memory graphics card. Perhaps you should make a mental note to optimize graphics later on.
