Make sources of a release downloadable

I'd like to package this game for Gentoo Linux. As we compile stuff ourselves, a method to download the source of a release would be helpful. Of course we can pull the latest GIT commit but I'd like to use a stable release. It would be nice, if you could either tag the release commit or create a source package for download. Thank you!
