-
What version of CaVE? (Include the file Modified date of the exe for Alpha)
- CaVE v1.5.03 [Patreon Build] 7/2/2024 5:44:40 AM
-
What Locale of Windows/NSO or is selected in CaVE?
- English
-
What version of the NSO app is installed? (Platform and version number)
- Game Boy NSO - v1.9.0.0
-
Do you have mods installed, and if so what?
- DisplayEx+ v1.9.0.0
-
How exactly can this issue be reproduced so others can do so in order to understand what is broken.
- With Game Boy NSO launched, go into settings and uncheck “Fit To Screen” and launch a game. The Screen will display top to bottom as if “Fit To Screen” was enabled.
This is the screen (top to bottom) I am seeing regardless of the option enabled or disabled.
This is what I would expect to see with “Fit To Screen” unchecked.

Ok. Thats why i did it like that. I thought I was aware of this “issue” before.
The reason you are seeing that?
You are using docked mode. You are using handheld mode. Like SNES… GB has 2 different framings based on if you are using handheld or docked mode.Handheld (720p) = Basically Fit to Screen
Docked (1080p) = Gaps at the top/bottom
This is not a issue with DisplayEx. It is in the base app too.
At best… Like SNES, I could provide a 1080p Adjustment option that would scale down the emulation window so its consistent.
I’ll leave this thread open as a reminder to consider that, as I probably should. Option > No Option.
EDIT: Made a mistake and swapped what mode does what.
