This is working now. I think this may have been fixed by the fix for https://bitbucket.org/darklightgames/darkesthour/issue/142/all-gunners-viewpoints-are-offset.

I would have thought so too - but I tested it before I made that commit, after stashing & discarding all my local changes, and I couldn't get it to happen then. But the pic certainly shows the camera location having been moved to a 'closed' position. Weird.
While looking at this, I noticed that the AT-57 is missing a 'close' animation, so the camera position snaps instantly to the gunsight when lowering, with no transition. The anim file actually has 2 identical 'open' anims. I'm sure that can't be anything to do with this bug though and I'll log this as a separate issue. I should be able to make the missing anim - did most of it this morning & just have 1 glitchy opening frame to fix.

I haven't been able to recreate this. Show me when we hook up on the test server.
