Rich Text Gadget not working in Wallboard mode

I want to use the Rich Text Gadget in a wallboard, but it doesn't work in wallboard mode.

It works fine in the normal dashboard mode, but in wallboard mode it never renders. The gadgets above and to the left of the rich text gadget appears fine, but not the rich text gadget itself and not the ones after it. The spinner also stays spinning indefinitely.

I've been investigating this. It looks like wallboard mode isn't officially supported for Connect add-ons. Please vote for: https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/ACJIRA-490
