Subtitles?

Not a bug but more of a request for help or clarification. I was wondering whether I could download subtitles; I found an old issue where a user called Ned had written something to do exactly that but it wasn’t clear whether this ever got into the official version. Or maybe I am in fact downloading the .srt or something, although I can’t find any .srt files on my computer.
