Why need to convert TS to MP4 file?

What is the reason for converting the TS file to an MP4 file?

I am able to watch the TS file on my media player..

Also what is the command line to convert this TS file to MP4?

    The MP4 file format is supported by almost all media players. It's just a remux, so no quality is lost.

    You can see the command line by looking at the remux function in common.py.
