Issue #18 resolved

empty $WORKON_HOME for zsh

Frank Becker

While sourceing virtualenvwrapper_bashrc with an empty $WORKON_HOME in bash you get "*" as the only virtualenv. Zsh stops hard. I'd recommend to use find to look for installed .virtualenvs

Using find is far too slow for an interactive function like that, especially when there are many environments in play.

I haven't been able to reproduce the "stops hard" behavior, but I'm not entirely sure what that means. Can you include some steps to reproduce and sample output of what failed?

    Thanks, Doug

Sorry, I was not clear with "stops hard". zsh returns an error message if globbing doesn't find anything. You can turn that off by setopt null_glob or change the globbing expression to */bin/activate(.N)

Anyhow, instead of switching things depending on the shell I appreciate your very practical solution to pipe STDERR to /dev/null as introduced in Wiki macro error: Changeset c11ee7913230 not found..

Thanks for virtualenvwrapper. It helps me a lot!
