Seeing the following before every prompt:

mktemp: illegal option -- p
usage: mktemp [-d] [-q] [-t prefix] [-u] template ...
       mktemp [-d] [-q] [-u] -t prefix
-bash: /out: Permission denied
-bash: /exit: Permission denied
ln: /tmp/promt.gem.cache/754f20e7fd1cc3ec3ab673b30174ffc5: Invalid argument
cat: /tmp/promt.gem.cache/754f20e7fd1cc3ec3ab673b30174ffc5/out: No such file or directory
cat: /tmp/promt.gem.cache/754f20e7fd1cc3ec3ab673b30174ffc5/err: No such file or directory
cat: /tmp/promt.gem.cache/754f20e7fd1cc3ec3ab673b30174ffc5/exit: No such file or directory
-bash: return: : numeric argument required

As a workaround, disabling caching with ENABLE_CACHED_COMMANDS=false avoids the error.
