Add posterazor feature.
The Layout Editor outputs one huge page which cannot be printed with a standard printer only capable of A4 or A3 or whatever is standard in your country.
There exists tools like http://posterazor.sourceforge.net/ and others, which generate multiple small pages from one huge page which can be printed and reglued afterwards.
But these tools are optimized for fotos, not technical drawings. They are
- not dimensionally stable,
- dont print corner marks,
- dont print a reference ruler
- and are clumsy to use.
Please consider to integrate above features into Layout-Editor

Account Deleted As poster is included in Fedora i used it as:
poster -v -mA4 -s1.0 -C7 royal.eps -o royal1.eps
but got only 25 empty pages (only the cutmarks)
I cannot say if this in error in poster or an error in the input file

Account Deleted The 1995 version of poster you pointed to works significantly better than the recent Fedora-version which has additional options -C -O -P .
Obviously someone 'improved' it

Account Deleted This is a fairly important issue which affects user ease-of-use.
-
repo owner We need change descriptions of this issue. Now it is issue about internal posterazor.
-
repo owner - changed title to Add posterazor feature.
-
What does the posterazor feature enable the users to do?
-
repo owner Create posters. A0->to several A4.
-
It generates a single file or multiple files?
-
repo owner Multiple.

Poster does not seem to work on 64 bit Windows 8.1 (fair enough for an executable from 1995). Just no time to try to recompile. One more reason to integrate this functionality into valentina :)
-
repo owner Yep, but poster need eps file for working. Or someone will find way how to avoid this. We have this task in ideal list for GSOC 2015.
-
Account Deleted maybe the best thing to do is 1 have a setting in Valentina to define the printers current paper size 2 do a temp file Bounce (export the file to a predefined temp file feed that to the poster module and just clean up afters)

Yes, Peter, you are right. I try avoid as possible reinvent the wheel and i think i have found perfect candidate for integration.
Poster
Poster is a small utility for making a poster, a large printed image, from an EPS file or a one-page PS document. Poster was written by Jos van Eijndhoven in 1995, and has been popular among PostScript users ever since.
Great part of taking poster that he has only one source file poster.c.
