Printed document size as info

Issue #497 resolved
Timo Virtaneva created an issue

There is a need to know the size of the document before printing

The roll paper printing is printing just specified lengths. It is not printing until everything is printed.

You need create different lengths of paper like 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, 3m ... To select the correct length of the paper, you need to know the size on the document.

The current workaround to find out this, is to print pdf to different lengths of paper and look which seems to be the right length.

The document info before printing simplifies this.

Timo, did you check you printing preferences? The application should set correct height by default.

Yes, I saw some changes. At least in MAC, when creating layout it uses the entered paper height values as paper length.

If I enter the paper size 609,60 * 5000,00 mm in layout creation, then the actual printed paper length is 5000 mm. The Auto crop selection affects only on the screen, but not in printing.

The Auto crop should set the height to the real length of the layout. Then the user can use the Roll 24in-paper (609,60 * 8669,87) and only needed amount paper will be printed.

Yes, you are right. I see the same in the code.
