"QMetaObject::invokeMethod" Impossible to use Valentina...

Issue #602 resolved
mil sv created an issue

Hello,

I use Valentina on an daily basis and rarely have problem. But since yesterday I am unable to use it as everytime in launch Valentina, I have this error message : "QMetaObject::invokeMethod: No such method QMenuBar::aboutToShow()" If I try to close the window, it immediately reappears, making impossible to use or close Valentina. I don't understand where does this comes from - I use it everyday and never saw anything like that.

Can you help me ?

I'd like to be abble to use it again, love this software !

I think I use the 5.0 version, but as I can't check directly on Valentina I'm not 100% sure of that

Thank you

    Hi, can you look at your pattern file and say me what do you see in tag version?

  2. mil sv reporter

    The pattern file says I'm using version 0.3.2 !

    (No idea why I was thinking using the 5.0...)

    <pattern> <!--Pattern created with Valentina (http://www.valentina-project.org/).--> <version>0.3.2</version>

    You are using version 0.5.0. 0.3.2 it is version of pattern format.

    But your version is very old last available is 0.3.9. Try to update package.

    Also because this is Linux you can show me package version you are using now.

    The last package has version 0.4.5+56 and was published 10 days ago. Tell me which package version do you use.

    I voluntarily did not updated, as the last time I did this I was not abble to use the patterns I created in the older version.

    This is what ubuntu tells me about the package ( sorry, don't know exactly what is relevant or not so I just pasted the whole thing)

    I'm gonna update Valentina right now and let you know if it's better

    Looks like you have added two PPA for release and develop. But your current version is 0.4.4+55+201607071558~ubuntu16.04.1. Yes, try to update package.

    @milsv, this is probably because my mistake. Because you have both PPAs stable and develop you got problems each time we released new package for stable branch. It replaced develop package.
