No Dialog Box with Seam Allowance Tool

Hi,

I am new to Valentina so I might be doing something wrong. I can't figure out how to create a work piece. Every time I use the seam allowance tool, even on simple patterns, I'll drag the tool, highlighting all of the edges but nothing happens and no dialog box appears. I can't use the detail mode or layout since I can't figure out the workpiece, so I'm worried I won't be able to print.
