Previously, the total intensity, I_sys, was only fit once for a single set of polcal data. This PR adds the ability to instead fit I_sys individually for every CS step in the polcal sequence.
This mode is activated via a switch in the fit mode, so even after this change is released pipelines will need to update the “fit_mode” in their parameters to actually use this new mode. This also means instruments that don’t need this feature can reduce the number of free parameters by simply not turning it on.
