Issue #69 wontfix
Sven Wagner created an issue

Hi there, it don't know if it's a bug or simply some misconfiguration. We use - Gitlab 11.5.3-ee - Jira Software 7.9.2 with Jigit Plugin 1.2.9

As path I configured comp-it (Gitlab group). Connection was established successfully and indexing seems to have completed. I could not find any progress display.

Currently, some Jira issues don't display related Git commits (commit message includes the issue key though). Example: for issue DIT-4957 there are four commits stored in the repo ABC which is in the group comp-it. However, even after waiting the whole weekend (hopefully to finish indexing) these related commits do not appear in the Jigit tab.

However, another ticket DIT-5092 has two related commit which are displayed in the Jigit tab.

Does the date and time at which the integration was set up in Jira matter?

Kind regards, Patrice

    Hi,

Does the date and time at which the integration was set up in Jira matter?

Timestamp of a commit does not matter. What matters is the branch where a commit was done. Please, check branches of the commits for DIT-4957.

You've mentioned that a Gitlab group was configured in Jigit. What about branches configuration?

Hi Dmitrii, I checked again and the cause of this seems that the issue key was not provided in the merge commit itself. Therefore the plugin could not create a reference. Since I configured a Gitlab group and not a single repository only master branches are indexed.
