Names not visible on list of event bookings

Some names are not displayed on the Event booking list. The ones that do not show are the names associated with a user account. If the person booking does not log in, or if the system doesn't recognise them as a registered user, then the name does show.

I don't know if the system creates a link from a booking to an account if the user is recognised from their name/email or whether it only creates a link if the user logs in first. There doesn't seem an obvious way of creating a link from a booking to a user account, so many users who regularly attend events do not show this event in their record.

At present the bookings are also recorded on my stand alone system so none of this is critical (but it does mean other users cannot see a list of attendees - Sonia finds this awkward for example). For that reason I've classified this as minor. It does all mean it would be difficult to drop the stand-alone system and just use the Events system to keep track of bookings.

    Thanks Marilyn - so a summary for me, it feels like there are 2 connected issues here:

    • Names are not showing on the event booking table for those people who book when logged in
    • No way to associate an existing event booking with an existing user

    I'll take a look into it. Incidentally, it doesn't completely replace it but you can see a list all attendees by clicking on the "printable view" link in manage bookings - example here.

    Thanks David.  Yes that's it in summary.  Not terribly urgent any of this but I thought it was easier to log issues as I come across them.  I hadn't spotted the printable view option - I'll let Sonia know. Marilyn
