Unable to toggle controls away from desktop.

I am using Ubuntu 12.10 with Gnome Classic. Ctrl+Shift+Y doesn't seem to do the trick.

    I will try to get Gnome Classic installed to debug. Currently it was built to work on as simple a window manager as possible, I believe XFWM is probably the simplest to get it working. Also, it won't work if your desktop has any compositing turned on and may crash or get stuck. I'll give it a shot and see what I can do though.
