v-3-7-1-totara-compatible version requirement is too high?

Hi, I’m trying to install the v-3-7-1-totara-compatible branch of this plugin on Totara 12.15 which is quite recent, but due to the version requirement in version.php…
$plugin->requires = 2019110000;
…I am unable to install since even Totara 12.15 is Moodle version 2017051509.00 / release 3.3.9. Is this version requirement line meant to be commented out / safe to comment out? Or am I misunderstanding the purpose of this branch? Thanks!

Hi the Totara branch is really still a work in progress and likely has bugs. I always planned to come back to it. I have not so far found any time but remain hopeful that I will eventually. There seems to be some interest in it, so it’s probably worthwhile.
The version used was the version I happened to have access to during development. Since their code isn’t public, I was limited to just that version. If you wanted to use it with another version, it may well work but that’d be up to you to test thoroughly.
