Battery monitor on Forerunner 235

I've found what I believe to be two issues with the battery monitor on my 235. First, when simply plugged into power, the battery at the top of the watch does not show that it's being charged (aka - the icon doesn't change). I had to just let it go to ID that it was, in fact, being charged.

Note - this is only when connected to power only. When it's connected to my computer via USB, the Garmin USB screen takes over.

The second might be related. The battery monitor caps out at 98%, regardless of whether the charge is higher or not. It never shows more than 98% charge. I just had it plugged into my computer and the Garmin screen showed 100% charged, but when I unplugged and the Big Time screen kicked back in, it showed 98% charged. I noted this when I had it plugged into the wall socket, as well. It never recorded a charge beyond 98%, regardless of how long it was on power.
