Temp in C or F should follow device

The Garmin 920XT has a Celsius and Fahrenheit setting. The app displays temp in Fahrenheit when the watch is set to Celsius. The app follows the distance units instead of the temp units. When I set the watch to Kilometres instead of Miles the app switched the temp units to Celsius from Fahrenheit. I like to do my runs in Miles but use Celsius for temperature.
