Option for ignoring file extensions

For example, genesis / mega-drive roms are all *.md. RomCenter shows them all yellow because the correct file-extension would be .bin. But I want to stay with .md for a better overview and emulators can handle the wrong file-extension without problems.

The problem here (in combination with a dat-file) is that I can't see anymore which filenames (without the extension) are incorrect, because they are all yellow. So it would be nice to have an option to ignore file-extensions when checking file-names and rename files.
