not really an issue but a romcenter vs. mame rom check issue

Hi

Please check the attached screenshot.

The game angelkds.zip is having wrong file names inside the zip file.

The strange thing is: when I run the game in mame, the game works 100% even when using the zip file containing WRONG file names.

So my question is: does mame NOT check file NAMES but only file size and CRC?

Hi Jessica

AFAIK, mame relies only on crc/sha1 to find the files. So you can name your rom as you want.

Good naming is of course important to understand what the rom is related to.
