Player sometimes unable to move on "fresh installation" of ECWolf 1.2.99999

The very first time the development build (the one I snagged from the DRDTeam builds) is run, there is a chance that the player could be jammed in the start position, unable to move in any direction. I tried this with the 1.2.2 build found on the ECWolf website and it doesn't seem to have this issue. What's really strange is that this issue fixes itself after a few runs (in my case, about 4 or 5). The only way I was able to replicate that issue after those few times was if i went into %appdata%, deleted the config file, and booted into the game using its default menu choices, (new game > episode 1 (in Wolf's case, at least. The bug occurs in both Wolf and SOD) > skill3). Even after I was able to replicate the bug after I initially encountered it, it fixed after a few tries itself yet again after following through with the procedure I described above.

I don't have the slightest idea what's causing it. Sometimes it happens when I change the resolution before starting the game (not resuming it) but even then it fixes itself after a few runs.

    Oh by the way, it's playing the "wall hugging" sound when the player is stuck and trying to move. I forgot the actual name of the adlib sound file but it's like dootdootdootdootdootdootdootdoot ah you'll know what I'm talking about.

    So what I know thus far about this bug is some really large object is being spawned into the map. I having difficulty tracking down the exact cause, but the object seems to be random memory.
