Game crash after intermission screen

I wanted to start a new game in Super 3D Noah's Ark right after I defeated the final boss (Level 6-6). So, after selecting a new episode, setting the difficulty level, and hitting the return key to skip over the intermission screen, the game crashed before entering the gameplay state. I tested this several times and the game always crashed at the same place.
