ECWolf 133.368 crashes on loading

I get as far as the blue screen and the music starts, but the game crashes and the error screen appears. Tried the 64 bit version but that crashes without the error screen, saying reporting issue to Microsoft.

Asus Z170K, Intel Core i& 6700 not overclocked and Nvidia GTX970 on the latest driver.
