Can you clarify in the readme/faq wiki page which git-remote-hg tool you used? There are at least three with the same name and very different implementations:

Thanks for working in this. This appears to be the only script I’ve seen that attempts to deal with meta data for description and private status.

https://github.com/felipec/git-remote-hg is the original / latest / correct one as far as I know.

I hit some problems, and I have solutions. Will open new tickets/issues. Will mark this as resolved as I see you updated the FAQ to include a link
