Feature request : button sequence to unlock
I have the most recent version of the firmware, and am using an iOS device.
I have the bike/app configured for lock in level 0 when disconnected from Bluetooth, as a securing mechanism so that people cannot power on my bike and play with the throttle when I am not there.
When I approach the bike and power on the Eggrider, my phone is not automatically detected: I have to open the app and select the controller manually. This adds time.
I wonder if it would be possible to add a feature to the Eggrider during power-on that requires a specific button press sequence. Given that the eggrider has 3 buttons, a 5-press sequence would be adequate, and could be configured easily using the mobile phone client.
This would provide me with some additional security for the bike. Thanks for considering.

reporter Thanks, Paul. EggRider leadership: any thoughts?

Hi, it is a great idea but might not be so easy to implement. We will keep it into consideration.

Hi George,
All was well until 5 days ago and the app said it needed updating and then closed with an error. Tried everything I could think of and failed so uninstalled. Have restarted phone a few times etc but it tells me the app is already installed!
Please help, Paul

I couldn’t have put it better. I seem to have many bluetooth issues but it will connect after a lot of prodding so OK but far too much to change road/off road each time. An ability to set up a key sequence would be great. An updated thought is to use the assist level numbers as a code of user defined lengh with the mode button being the input button, this would not reap much havoc with the display and allow easy to remember pin codes.
