Throttle limited by PAS level

Choosing yes or no in the Lishui menu the throttle is always limited by PAS level.

I tried the Limited to 6km/h and this fonction is working

Hi Francois, I fear that this might be your controller as it is probably new and more restricted.

You can try a workaround to set running strategy to Current limitation and see if that improves things.

Ok I did this but with 100% at all Speed% I do get 100% throttle at all levels, but also 100% PAS at all levels

If you ever want to do some test to solve this problem I’m available to test for you.

What I did temporally to get 100% throttle fast is that I run on ROAD PAS and when I want a sudden 100 throttle I switch to OFF ROAD that is set at level 9 giving me 100% throttle.

I concur with Francois. The “Limit throttle to 6 km/h”-setting is not working, which in many European countries makes it so the bike isn’t road-legal. It's working with the original LCD-screen from Rad without the EggRider, so there’s obviously a setting somewhere for this in the controller.

With the original LCD-screen for the EU bikes, throttle works like this:

PAS 0: Throttle does nothing
PAS 1-5, no pedaling: Speed limited to 6 km/h for throttle
PAS 1-5, pedaling: Throttle acts as if PAS 5 is active as long as you keep pedaling, even if a lower PAS-setting (1 minimum) is set. Max speed is 25 km/h default, but can be changed in the LCD.

I’m also available for testing this. I consider it a major issue that i can’t make my “Road”-mode to be actual Road-legal without disconnecting the Throttle.

Troels, you are right… I was wrong about the 6KM limit. When I tried it I actually didn’t go on the road but just lifted the rear wheel and applied throttle and I could feel that I didn’t have max power, so I conclude it was working. But after your statement I re-enabled 6km and did a road test and it is more controled at about 12- 13 km/h

For me in the RadMini4 EU 250W the throttle limited in ROAD profile works ok, but as it was mentioned in the ticket, the power is cut off once the % of the speed is reached, so you do not have power assistance in PAS 1 as long as you overpass 15 km/h, even though the limit is setup to 41 km/h.

I guess the current/power limitation just does not work in this firmware version. It should, as the Rad Power display uses power limitation, so you have power all the time until the top speed is reached, whatever PAS level you have selected (of course, the higher the level, the higher the power).

It looks to me that, with speed limitation, you have all the time 100% power, but it is cut at each % of 41 km/h for each PAS level.

Hi, I experienced the exact same issue.

I use a RadMission EU 2021 bike, no clue about the controller (sorry).

My EggRider V2 is set to Lishui and the running strategy to ‘normal’.

My display is set to have 5 assist level, of these 5 the first 2 switch off at low speed (around 15kmh) and the other 3-5 work nearly as set up. All have a slightly higher current than set up as limit. e.g. in my settings I set up 7 Amp as max for road, which results in 8 at level 5 PAS. my offroad setting is max 10 Amp which results in 11.3 Amp as read out from the Eggrider display. The throttle is always limited to the PAS level, independent of how the option is set up, and the limitation to 6kmh limits to 11-12.

I also tried to switch to current limitation which ended up as having at all levels max PAS, but at least not speed limited. I switched my display after each ‘write’ click off and on again.

In latest version eggrider_fw_v2.5.23_stable the throttle works full regardless of the PAS level when in Normal (speed limitation) running strategy. So this ticket it might be resolved.

RadRhino if I set throttle to 6kph it is nearer 12kph, in normal or current so this is definitely not resolved. Our bikes are now illegal unless we disconnect the throttle connector. Please advise a fix.

the throttle problem still exists after FW 2.7.45 on my EU Radrunner 2.

I’ve tested it now with several EU lishui controllers. Still 11-12kph on the 6kph Limit ..

now my bike is gone for one week by the police here in Germany.

After I get i back I need to remove the throttle I guess unless u can fix it.

Do you have a solution around?
