Should Assist Levels really be remembered when switching Mode?

The only thing that annoys me at the moment is that when changing between road/offroad mode, it does not simply go from road 3 to offroad 3 for example. It goes from road 3 to the offroad level it was the last time when offroad mode was used.

So when I change between road/offroad, I hardly ever know which level it switches to.

If it goes into offroad 1 and I am going uphill, I will slow down.

If it goes into the highest offroad level, this could be dangerous.

I just hardly ever know before I press the mode button.

In my opinion it is not neccessary at all for the software to remember in which assist level it was the last time the other mode was used. If it would simply go from road 3 to offroad 3 for example, you know exactly which level you are switching to.

This would make it more predictable, safer and it switching between road/offroad would no longer be annoying at all.
